About 600,000 students are expected to turn up for the rescheduled Class 12 Economics exam across the country at 4,000 centres.
New Delhi/25.04.2018: The Central Board of Secondary Education is going to conduct Class XII Economics re-exam today i.e. on Wednesday. About 600,000 students are expected to turn up for the rescheduled exam across the country at 4,000 centres. An official from CBSE stated, “About six lakh students will appear for the exam on Wednesday at 4,000 centres.” He further added that extra security measures have been taken to avoid any kind mishap. Last month, the said paper was reported to be leaked, which led to the cancellation of the exam.
Note: The international students have been exempted from re-appearing in the exam since the leak didn’t have any impact on the results.
Students Expecting Tougher Paper:
In spite of appearing for the second time, a good number of students, when asked about the rescheduled of the exam, seemed to be little wary and worried. They are expecting a tougher question paper this time. Here’s what a student from Tagore Senior Secondary School, Mayapuri revealed, “It is very irritating to have to repeat the paper again. I am just as prepared for it as I was last time. But can’t say if they set a tough question paper.” Another student of New Delhi Public School, Vikaspuri said, “I am fully prepared and making sure to revise the question paper which came last time also. The only worry is that the question paper last time was very easy. I knew it all. It’s not about just passing. I want to make sure that I better my previous performance.”
No New Admit Card to be issued:
The CBSE board rejected all reports that stated it would issue new admit card for the re-exam. The official notification reads, “Students are hereby informed that certain social media networks and online news channels are unnecessarily floating rumours that new Admit Cards will be issued by the Board for the exam tomorrow. It is hereby clarified that CBSE has already issued press release dated 30.03.2018 also available on the CBSE official website cbse.nic.in conveying that – the candidates will appear from the same allotted centres using the same admit card.”
