Every year, the Central Board for Secondary Education conducts the Joint Entrance Examination to provide admission to all the engineering aspirants in all NITs, IIITs, IITs and CFTIs for the under-graduate courses in engineering. From the application process to downloading the admit card, all of the steps are online only. IIT JEE Mains exam is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced exam. CBSE distributes the application for Main exam online. The aspirants need to visit the official website when the application window opens. They need to provide all the required information like name of the candidates, name of the father/mother of the candidates, Aadhar card number, address, phone number, email address, educational details and other details. The payment mode is also online now. They need to pay via credit card, debit card or net banking. The scanned copies of photograph and signature will have to upload during the process. A system generated registration number will be provided for later log in. There will be no option for hard copy or email attachment submission for it.
The admit card for IIT JEE Mains exam will be only available via online. The candidates need to download the admit card from the official website of JEE Main after the notification. The admit card will not be sent via email or post under any circumstances. They need to login with the enrolment number and password and download the card. After downloading, please check the each and every detail like name, date of birth, gender, etc minutely. If there is any discrepancy, then they need to take immediate action for it.
All the candidates are requested to reach the centre at least 2 hours before the exam to complete the registration procedure with ease. Every aspirant must carry the admit card because no candidate will be allowed to sit in the exam without it. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after schedule time. The total duration of the test is 3 hours in which they have to answer questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The exam will be declared by CBSE through online mode only. The result will have the actual score and secured rank in the Main exam. On the basis of this exam the JEE Advanced eligibility will be decided. The All India Rank (AIR) will be the deciding factor for the admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and others.
